Question Time
This isn’t a post on questions by me, nor ones answered. I speak of a time given to Australian politicians to lodge questions and explain their actions, while aired on national television.
Last week’s fiasco had to do with an alleged email containing evidence of what essentially sounds like special treatment. They continued to discuss for two weeks, despite larger problems at hand e.g. Financial crisis, Global warming. I almost felt sorry for the Speaker (the one given control and direction of the parliament debate) as he notably warmed each side of their behaviour; to the point of standing up and giving everyone a stern eye till they settled.
I’ll admit that not terribly familiar with politics and the roles of ministers in government; but I was under the impression that they got things done.
Shivery is not dead, it just doesn't apply
I’m going to get straight to the point since i don’t have debating/writing abilities.
With the increasing women’s equal rights (and I’m not saying they’re complete) but with it increasing, it levels the playing field on which the genders stand. I suspect shivery began with the female gender not thought of being on equal grounds, hence why they were given special treatment.
Example, my friend paid for dinner because she wanted to, despite the fella’s full intention to do so. Shivery was appreciated but not expected. Unless you’re a bitch-sponge, it doesn’t really apply in a contemporary society.
Some how, I’m going to piss someone off. Like when I called a fellow tumblr/jew a sneaker blogger. Someone has to take offence.
Thrillhouse moments
There are moments in life when you figure out you were the Millhouse of life. Like when you sneeze with a mouth full of toothpaste over a coffee table book. But I suppose at that size, you can’t really miss.
One week down. Assignments have been replaced with making little images for facebook events. Nothing special, just giving some life to what is actually just a gathering of friends and drinking of beer.
I wonder if there’s a niche market for designers in facebook events. I could definatly fit that into my future career. It’s new, it’s cheap and it has a large demographic waiting to be told where to go and what to do. Surely they could use a junior in that department.
But seriously; to the few Sydney-siders I have on tumblr: Midday, 8th July at Löwenbräu Keller, The Rocks. Assuming you have the day off. You can even drop in on the Saatchi & Saatchi Gallery and check out James Patradoon’s screen prints from the last 4 years.
3 Weeks Prior
On holidays. I’ll be back when there’s nothing better to do.
Ha! Hey Ash. She has some wicket tattoos, I’m pretty sure she’s getting another sleeve.
