I was wrong, there are two photos from the festival. My friend was preforming with her poi for kicks. I was just suprised to see her there but I was also looking for friends amongst the crowd, something I seem to spend a fair bit of time doing at these things.
For those who don’t know what poi is, it’s the Mauri art of swinging ball/s attatched to string or rope. Some of you might think “ha, balls” however there are many variations and fire twirling is one less mentally hilarious version.
“Snasen do great visual work, strong and calm at the same time. Their portfolio ranges from type-centric editorial work, such as this lookbook for norwegian fashion brand FIN, to the more illustrative pieces for Oslo Fashion Week. I like them all.”

The only photo we took from the Newtown Festival. The first beer of the morning and my ridiculously brick-like, non-iPhone phone. Boycotting the whole iPhone phase untill there’s a practical use. Ironically, the photo was taken on my friend’s iPhone.
You can almost see my dirty Movember-stache coming through.
Far too drunk/hungover to deal with life right now.
Slick, tiger, kid, young-ling, sport, son, buddy, rook(ie), greenhorn, fledgling…
I’ve just been employed at a small printing company, and already I’m in the process of thinking up things to call the experience kid. My more experienced co-conspirator has told me that he is less than able.
I checked all the things Agent Kay (played by Tommy Lee Jones) called Agent Jay (played by Will Smith) in Men in Black. The list is a lot less impressive than what I had imagined.
Any suggestions?
I’ll be spending most of my day and some of my night at the Newtown Festival tomorrow. It’s like a local market with pony rides, and beer, and music, but larger then average.

Pretty darn awesome. Ah designed a blank vinyl notepad canvas for invited illustrators to embellish each day of the YCN LIVE event in 2008.
