Question Time
This isn’t a post on questions by me, nor ones answered. I speak of a time given to Australian politicians to lodge questions and explain their actions, while aired on national television.
Last week’s fiasco had to do with an alleged email containing evidence of what essentially sounds like special treatment. They continued to discuss for two weeks, despite larger problems at hand e.g. Financial crisis, Global warming. I almost felt sorry for the Speaker (the one given control and direction of the parliament debate) as he notably warmed each side of their behaviour; to the point of standing up and giving everyone a stern eye till they settled.
I’ll admit that not terribly familiar with politics and the roles of ministers in government; but I was under the impression that they got things done.
